First impression is everything! I gave my client Mary Craft, director of Wealth for the Righteous Resource Center, a call today looking for her newsletter content. She let me know it was coming today and that she needed help with her profile picture on twitter. Now I’m not a twitter gal but was able to figure out the right dimensions & uploaded a new picture for her. Her original one was cropped completely wrong. Looks like twitter doesn’t proportionately fit your image to their specs.

AFTER: So much better!

When you are representing your business, do it right the first time. Do not put something up that you don’t like looking at. Reach out and find someone to help you. Now I need to update her Facebook & LinkedIn profile pictures.

John at Coffee Crossing, here in my home town Livingston, has been a client of mine since 2006! Can’t believe we have been creating these labels for so long. These are the 1×2 5/8″ white Avery labels and I print all sorts of fun sayings on them that John, friends or customers come up with. We sometimes print in color or times just black ink. Customers love them because they are witty, & fun to read. John & I love them because they are quick & easy to produce!

A great client of mine, Steve Evans with KCLY/KVEL radio station out of Utah, contacted me needing a flyer for his daughter Shelby. He sent me a few photos and she is beautiful & you can tell this young one has a lot of style to her personality. She had such an amazing smile that I took a photo of her and made it part of her vector logo. This is still at it’s first proof stage but we will see what they think of the design . . .

James & I sat for quite a while creating this logo. His dance mentor Mykl drew this lovely sketch of dancers way back in the day. James wanted to use the image but recreate it in a way that would work for Zipper Dancing!
Mykle’s Drawing:

I brought in the above rastered image into illustrator & recreated the original sketch in vector form. From there we kept tweaking the points until we got what James wanted. This is what the outcome was . . . It turned out great!

I seem to be very bad a bloging and networking with my business. It is amazing how much time it takes to blog. I have so many awesome projects to post but my time seems to be spent designing. I’ve posted a couple of finished projects. Just need to make sure each timeĀ I finish a design POST IT!! Lets see if I can get back in the swing of things . . .
I do want to thank all my wonderful clients, who are all such great friends too, for your support!

WOW! My greatest friend James has a business named Mishe Mokwa Media. I was visiting and he showed me his old logo.

We sat down in front of my laptop on his couch and worked this up in no time! He was so excited, so was I!
