My wonderful guy A.J. Bowers needed some design work for his business BOWERS TREE & GARDEN SERVICE. He had a great idea of taken his tree tattoo (my artistic little brother Cameron originally drew) and incorporate into his business logo. So I took the original photo of my brother’s artwork and placed it into illustrator and redrew the whole tree to make it a vector file. I found a great font that worked very well with the tree design. I did a nifty trick of scanning in textured paper and using the image as a background instead of wasting money & printing on expensive custom paper!

I thought this was a great idea. A client’s wife is allergic to certain types of food. He wanted a simple & elegant card design, that was also durable. With her own personal Allergic Card she would no longer need to repeat herself over and over. This card will make eating out much nicer too. Just hand the waitress a card to bring back to the cook!

We went with a standard business card size (3.5 x 2 “), and printed the design on plastic material for durability. I believe they are wanting to do another version with english on front & french on back. Above is the English/Spanish version we did.

I designed two layouts, one layout had the appointment info on the back and the other we left blank for James’s personal hand out cards. He wanted to be able to write on the back of these. To keep cost down I scanned in a specialty paper and used as a background image to give the card a more professional feel instead of actually paying and printing on specialty paper.
